Job summary

A leading engineering and consultancy firm is seeking a Mechanical Technician in Abu Dhabi to execute critical maintenance activities during refueling outages at a nuclear power plant. The candidate will ensure the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency while performing tasks such as troubleshooting and diagnostics on various mechanical systems. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a nuclear environment, is essential. This is a contract position with no remote work options.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in mechanical maintenance, ideally at a nuclear power plant.

Responsibilities

Summary

Mechanical Technician will execute critical maintenance activities during refuelling outages at a nuclear power plant ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities and Knowledge

• Manual Operated Valves - globe valves gate valves butterfly valves pressure safety / relief valves check valves. Overhaul replace packing and lapping;
• and/or: Flange management; bolting / torquing;
• and/or: Centrifugal pumps motor-pump alignment;
• and/or: Lubrication and bearing replacement.
• Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics on various mechanical systems
• Carry out critical component replacements and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal system performance and safety.

• Minimum of 3years in mechanical maintenance - preferably at a nuclear power plant.
