Job summary

Qureos in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in oil and gas EPC projects. You will be responsible for the selection, design review, engineering and technical evaluation of rotating equipment used in oil, gas and industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in rotating equipment engineering, preferably in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, compressors, blowers, fans, turbines and associated auxiliary systems.
• Familiarity with API 610, API 617, API 618, API 619, API 674, API 675, API 682 and ISO 5199, as applicable to the equipment.
• Ability to review equipment selection, performance curves, hydraulic operating conditions, NPSH, efficiency, power requirements and operating envelopes.
• Understanding of mechanical seals, bearing systems, lubrication systems, couplings, shaft alignment and vibration monitoring.
• Experience in evaluating rotating equipment datasheets, technical specifications, vendor drawings and performance test procedures.
• Familiarity with vibration analysis, equipment reliability, rotor dynamics and machinery troubleshooting.
• Understanding of equipment foundation requirements, dynamic loading, nozzle loads and piping interface requirements.
• Experience in technical bid evaluations, vendor coordination, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and equipment inspection.
• Knowledge of installation, commissioning, start-up and maintenance requirements for rotating machinery.
• Familiarity with ADNOC specifications and applicable API, ASME and ISO standards.
• Strong coordination skills with process, piping, electrical, instrumentation and structural engineering disciplines.
• Offshore project experience and familiarity with equipment condition monitoring systems will be an advantage.

Responsibilities
