Job summary

Archirodon Group N.V invites applications for a Mechanical QC Engineer (NDT Level III) to join our QC team on a major EPC Oil & Gas project in Asab, Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on NDT oversight, weld quality, and document control.

The ideal candidate holds ASNT ACCP NDT Level III or PCN Level II in RT and related methods, plus 12+ years in EPC environments. Fluency in English is required; GCC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires ASNT ACCP NDT Level III or PCN Level II in RT/PAUT/LPI/UT.
• Experience in EPC Oil & Gas projects is a must.
• Strong command of English.

Responsibilities

• Visual inspection as per codes and standards before NDT.
• Interpretation of Radiographic films.
• Perform and witness UT, MPI and LPI tests.
• Monitor NDT activities affecting weld quality on piping spools.
• Prepare Weekly and Cumulative Weld Status Reports.
• Prepare Monthly Weld Status Reports and report to QC Manager.
• Prepare NDT requests including PWHT where applicable.
• Familiarize with the approved quality and inspection plan.
• Familiarize with drawing standards and specifications.
• Prepare final NDT reports (RT/MT/PT).
• Control welding repairs by corrective actions.
• Coordinate with client and NDT subcontractors.
• Follow up NDT backlog with subcontractors.

What you will need to do:

• Visual inspection as per codes & standard before NDT.
• Interpretation of Radiographic films.
• Perform and witness UT MPI and LPI tests.
• Monitoring NDT activities affecting the quality of welds contained each piping spools of an isometric have been completed and accepted.
• Preparing Weekly and Cumulative Weld Status Report
• Preparing Monthly Weld Status Report and report to Qc Manager
• Prepare NDT request including PWHT if applicable for visually accepted joints to cope up with the NDT percentage requirements as per line class including welders performance percentage.
• Familiarize with the approved quality and inspection plan.
• Familiarize with approved drawing standards and specifications.
• Preparation of final documents including NDT (RT MT & PT) reports.
• Controlling welding repairs by taking corrective actions.
• Coordination with client and NDT sub-contractors.
• Follow up NDT backlog with sub-contractors.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong experience in Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) Oil & Gas projects is must.
• Minimum 12 years of experience (ADNOC experience will be an advantage)
• ASNT ACCP NDT Level III or PCN Level II in RT in - Radiographic film Interpretation PAUT AUT
• CSWIP Level II in RT
• ASNT LEVEL II in - Radiography Testing Ultrasonic Testing Liquid Penetrant Testing & Magnetic Particle Testing
• Very Good Command of English Language
