Job summary

Archirodon Group N.V. is seeking a Mechanical QC Engineer for an Abu Dhabi project. You will support quality documentation, supervision of QC inspectors, and validation of welding, NDT, and hydro/pneumatic testing across Mechanical works.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, 12+ years in EPC/O&G, and strong English communication. Candidates with ADNOC experience and relevant certifications are preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 12 years of experience; ADNOC experience advantageous.
• Full EPC experience in O&G projects.
• Excellent command of English.
• Experience in engineering and procurement stages of projects.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and CSWIP 3.1 / ASNT L2 PT MT certifications.
• Knowledge of inspection/certification of pipelines, piping, structures, process equipment; NDT methods; welding.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing quality documentation including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and review construction documents for compliance with project quality requirements for Mechanical works.
• Monitor all phases for completion of Mechanical works and related handover.
• Ensure records for Method Statements and ITPs are generated timely for Mechanical works.
• Manage inspection/testing of Mechanical works and QC Inspectors.
• Close out punch lists related to Mechanical works.
• Verify calibration of measurement & testing instruments used for Mechanical works.
• Witness and approve welder qualifications and WPS/PQR qualifications.
• Coordinate with 3rd party testing/inspection as required for Mechanical works.
• Analyze test data related to Mechanical works and maintain records.

Job description

What you will need to do:

• Assists in the preparation of quality documentation including the Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and in the review of construction documents for compliance with project quality requirements related to Mechanical works.

• Monitors all phases and processes required for the effective completion of all related Mechanical works and in particular issues of design procurement construction and final hand over of the related Mechanical works.

• Monitors the implementation of Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans related to Mechanical works and ensure all necessary records are generated in a timely manner in their area of assigned responsibility.

• Manages the inspection and testing of Mechanical works in their area of assigned responsibilities including monitoring the work of QC Inspectors under their authority.

• Monitors the close out of punch lists established for incomplete related to Mechanical works.

• Monitors all measurement & testing instruments employed for Mechanical works that they are functional and calibrated.

• Witnesses reviews and approves welder qualifications and WPS PQR qualifications.

• Liaises and coordinates with 3rd Party Testing /Inspection Company as required related to Mechanical works.

• Statistical analysis and evaluation of test data related to Mechanical works.

• Prepares files maintains test/inspection records and any other quality records generated related to Mechanical works.

• Assisting construction personnel to identify and resolve problems and potential or actual non-conformances related to Mechanical works.

• Advises the QC Manager of non-conformance occurrences and where necessary raises a Non-conformance Report for non-compliant work and monitors the closeout and effectiveness of the correction and corrective action undertaken.

• Where required assists the QC Manager in undertaking periodic audits including those of sub-contractors and suppliers in particular technical compliance audits in their field of specialization.

• Witnessing of all NDT and Mechanical testing (including hydro testing pneumatic testing etc.) specified.

• Attends and witnesses all Client verification of work (inspection test and the like) on site and coordinates close out of any and all outstanding issues related to Civil works.

• Where required assists in the preparation of final document for certification.

• Assists in the systems commissioning as required.

• Hands on in managing site interface with implementation contractor QC personnel client QC personnel management of QC inspectors Knowledgeable in codes and standards ADNOC specifications SHELL DEPFamiliar with site fabrication construction activities.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor Degree of Mechanical Engineering

• Min. 12years of experience (ADNOC experience will be an advantage)

• Full EPC experience in O&G project

• Very Good Command of English Language

• Previous experience working in Engineering and Procurement stage of the project

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor CSWIP 3.1 / ASNT L2 PT MT. MT

• Well versed in the inspection and certification of Pipeline Piping Structures Process equipment packageunits NDT methods Welding activities Test Package Management Mechanical Completion oil and gas EPCM projects.

You are someone who:
