Job summary

A prominent engineering firm in Dubai seeks a qualified QA/QC Engineer to conduct thorough inspections of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the GCC. Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and MEP standards is essential. The role requires strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD. Immediate availability is a must for successful candidates.

Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality inspections of mechanical installations including HVAC plumbing fire protection and other mechanical systems.
  • Review project specifications drawings and method statements to ensure proper of works.
  • Prepare and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) quality checklists and related QA/QC documentation.
  • Coordinate with site engineers project managers consultants and clients for inspection and approval of mechanical works.
  • Issue NonConformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs) and follow up on corrective/preventive actions.
  • Ensure materials used at site are approved and comply with project requirements.
  • Monitor subcontractor and vendor quality performance and adherence to contract terms.
  • Support testing and commissioning processes of mechanical systems.
  • Maintain proper documentation for QA/QC reports material submittals approvals and asbuilt records.
  • Attend qualityrelated meetings and provide inputs regarding improvements and compliance.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferably in the UAE/GCC.
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures MEP standards and local authority regulations.
  • Previous experience working with contracting companies is highly preferred.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC plumbing firefighting building projects.
  • Familiar with international standards such as ASHRAE SMACNA NFPA etc.
  • Excellent communication documentation and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office AutoCAD and QA/QC reporting tools.
  • Must be presently residing in the UAE.
