Job summary

A leading industrial firm in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will perform mechanical maintenance tasks, conduct preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns, and ensure compliance with safety standards. A Technical Diploma and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role are required. You will also be expected to participate actively in safety meetings and report any unsafe conditions. Job description

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician functions as part of the maintenance team supporting the coating plant operations. Responsibilities include performing mechanical maintenance tasks, Hot work activities, conducting preventive maintenance to prevent unplanned breakdowns, and ensuring that products and equipment are handled to minimize damage or deterioration. The role requires strict adherence to company QMS, HSE, and work permit systems, along with active participation in toolbox talks and safety meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform mechanical maintenance and repair tasks as per work instructions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain mechanical maintenance checklists and accurate maintenance records.
• Perform hot work activities including GTAW and SMAW.
• Perform structural and sheet metal fabrication works.
• Follow all NOV HSE, QMS, and company policies and procedures.
• Report unsafe acts or conditions and participate in HSE meetings and training sessions.
• Use and maintain tools and PPE properly in compliance with safety standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Technical Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar mechanical maintenance role, preferably within a coating or industrial plant.
• Good communication skills, teamwork, quality orientation, and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and permit-to-work systems.
