Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design & Development: Create and develop detailed 3D models and drawings for mechanical systems, components, and assemblies.
- Perform design calculations (stress analysis, tolerance stack‑up, DFMA, etc.) to ensure reliability and functionality.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for components and systems.
- Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing, favourable terms, and timely delivery.
- Understand project requirements, specifications, and constraints to deliver cost‑effective and efficient design solutions.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant international standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and reports.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical drawings, and specifications for production.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams (manufacturing, quality, procurement, etc.) to ensure design compatibility and efficiency.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for technical support, component selection, feasibility, and compliance.
- Provide technical support to production, assembly, and service teams.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautics engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in Design and Manufacturing [0 to 3 years] (fresh graduates may).>
- Advanced knowledge in GD&T.
- Previous experience in 3D modelling and drafting using CAD software (CATIA, NX, …).
- Good understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge.
- Foundational understanding of engineering and quality standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).
- Basic understanding of inspection methods and tools.
- Excellent communication skills [ knowledge of English is a MUST; knowledge of some other language is a plus].
- Technically agile with computers and software tools such as ERP systems, project management software, and MS office suite.
