Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development:
    • Plan and deliver high quality lessons in mathematics adhering to the curriculum and educational standards.
    • Prepare instructional materials, assignments and assessments to ensure the development of students' mathematical skills and understanding.
    • Use a variety of teaching methods such as lectures, group work and hands‑on activities to engage students and cater for diverse learning styles.
  • Student Assessment and Feedback:
    • Monitor and assess student progress through quizzes, tests, assignments and projects.
    • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their work and areas for improvement.
    • Prepare and grade assignments, projects and exams in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Classroom Management:
    • Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
    • Set clear expectations for student behavior and academic performance.
    • Manage classroom activities keeping students focused and engaged in the learning process.
  • Student Support:
    • Provide individual support and tutoring for students who need extra help.
    • Encourage student participation, engagement and curiosity in the subject matter.
    • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student performance and progress as needed.
  • Professional Development:
    • Stay updated on developments in mathematics and education through professional development opportunities.
    • Attend staff meetings, workshops and conferences to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to improve the overall quality of the mathematics program.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades and progress.
    • Participate in school activities such as parent‑teacher meetings, extracurricular events and school committees.
