Qualifications

Extensive experience teaching IB Mathematics MYP and or DP.
Experience with American curriculum standards.
Proven leadership experience within a school setting.
Strong expertise in curriculum design, assessment, and data analysis.
Demonstrated success in raising student attainment.
Enhanced DBS or equivalent police clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a clear whole-school vision for Mathematics education.
Align IB and American curriculum standards vertically and horizontally.
Lead curriculum review cycles and ensure compliance with IB and accreditation requirements.
Oversee planning, assessment design, and differentiation across all divisions.
Promote inquiry-based and concept-driven Mathematics learning.
Coach and mentor Mathematics teachers to enhance instructional quality.
Conduct lesson observations and provide structured professional feedback.
Lead departmental professional development initiatives.
Monitor IB Diploma Programme results and standardised test outcomes.
Analyse student performance data and implement targeted intervention strategies.
Ensure consistent grading practices across grade levels.
Lead recruitment, induction, and performance appraisal of Mathematics staff.
Manage departmental budget and resource allocation.
Support student enrichment programmes such as competitions and academic clubs.
Contribute to school accreditation and continuous improvement planning.
Uphold safeguarding policies and academic integrity standards.
