Job summary

Air Q Limited is seeking an experienced Material Planner to manage BOM-driven material planning, ordering, availability, and tracking for our AIT operations in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on ensuring materials align with the production schedule and preventing shortages through structured tracking.

You will collaborate with Procurement, Planning, Warehouse, and shop floor, coordinate with suppliers, and leverage ERP/MRP systems to maintain records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in material planning, supply chain, or production planning in manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP for material ordering and tracking.
• Strong BOM-driven material planning knowledge.
• Experience tracking stock/consumption and material reporting.
• Proven ability to design or improve material tracking processes.
• Excellent coordination with Procurement, Planning, Warehouse, and Production teams.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Process-oriented mindset to bring structure to evolving processes.

Responsibilities

Air Q Limited is looking for an experienced Material Planner to manage BOM-driven material planning, ordering, availability, and tracking for our Assembly, Integration & Testing (AIT) operations.

The role will play a key part in ensuring materials are available against the production schedule, preventing shortages, and establishing a structured material/job-order tracking process that can support future digitization.

Key Responsibilities

• Own BOM-driven material ordering and material availability planning for assembly and testing activities.
• Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers to prevent material shortages and production delays.
• Monitor material availability against production schedules.
• Identify and resolve gaps in the existing material and job-order tracking process.
• Maintain accurate material, stock, consumption, and order records.
• Support the development and improvement of material tracking processes.
• Coordinate closely with Procurement, Planning, Warehouse, and the shop floor.
• Monitor material risks and proactively flag potential shortages or delays to the VP of AIT.
• Ensure BOM ordering accuracy and timely material availability.
• Work with ERP/MRP systems for material ordering, tracking, and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or production planning, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems for material ordering and tracking is required.
• Strong understanding of BOM-driven material planning.
• Experience in stock/consumption tracking and material reporting.
• Experience in material tracking process improvement or process design.
• Strong coordination skills across Procurement, Planning, Warehouse, and Production/Shop Floor teams.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Process-oriented mindset with the ability to bring structure to evolving processes.
