Job summary

NMDC seeks a Master Offshore with a Class 1 FG COC II/2 and 3–4 years of offshore leadership experience. You will oversee safety, navigation, and compliance aboard offshore vessels, ensuring ISPS/ISM adherence, voyage planning, and environmental protection for passengers, crew, vessel and the marine environment.

Strong English communication skills are required. Role entails supervising towing/anchor handling and maintaining vessel certifications in the Arabian Gulf region.

Qualifications

  • Good English communication skills.
  • Class 1 master FG COC II/2 with no limitations.
  • Minimum 3–4 years experience as master Offshore.
  • Experience in towing and anchor handling operations in offshore environments.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the HSE Company policy.
  • Conduct Familiarization & Safety Induction programs for all crew.
  • Conduct regular HSE meetings onboard.
  • Overriding authority with respect to safety and pollution prevention.
  • Implement ISPS/ISM codes onboard as per Company Ship Security Plan.
  • Ensure vessels class and statutory certification are up to date.
  • Ensure and implement voyage planning and safety of navigation.

  • Conduct Familiarization & Safety Induction programs for all new joiners.
  • Conducts regular HSE meetings.
  • Issues Master Order and Instructions.
  • Conduct regular inspections & safety meetings onboard as per Company MSMS.
  • Reviews the Marine Safety Management System and reports any deficiencies.
  • Overriding authority with respect to safety and pollution prevention.
  • Authority for action in the interest of the passengers, crew, vessel and the environment.
  • Implement the ISPS code onboard the ship as per Company Ship Security Plan.

  • Experienced in working in the Arabian Gulf Offshore Oilfield.
  • Good understanding of safe practices related to anchor handling / towing operations.
