Job summary

Work corp in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Mason to join our team. The position involves laying bricks, blocks and stone, mixing mortar, and applying finishes on site.

You will read plans accurately and work with or without supervision, lifting heavy materials and following health and safety guidelines to keep the site clean and efficient. You will be supported by on-the-job training and opportunities for career development in a growing construction environment in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Mason is preferable but not essential.
• Ability to read plans accurately and understand instructions quickly.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently or with a team.
• Ability to lift heavy materials throughout the day.
• High attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lay bricks, blocks and stone as per design plans
• Mix mortar and cement in batches according to instructions
• Implement finishes such as plastering, pointing, tiling etc.
• Work with other tradespeople such as carpenters or electricians onsite
• Follow all health and safety guidelines when performing masonry tasks
• Keep working areas clean and tidy at all times
