A Day in the Life

As a Marketing and Retail & Promo Buyer, you’ll join our dynamic Procurement team based in Dubai, reporting into a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. You’ll work closely with local and regional stakeholders to create sourcing strategies, drive sustainability initiatives, and ensure compliance with company policies. This role offers the chance to work on exciting projects, collaborate with colleagues across all levels, and make procurement easy and impactful for everyone.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing Strategies: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for Marketing and Retail & Promo categories to achieve cost savings, process efficiencies, and supplier performance improvements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships across all organizational levels, including the C-Suite, to align business priorities and achieve savings targets.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Drive eco-friendly and ethical sourcing practices within the “L’Oréal For The Future” sustainability program.
  • Budget Contribution: Identify and quantify procurement savings to contribute to the company’s budget creation.
  • Supplier Management: Negotiate favorable terms, establish long-term partnerships, and monitor supplier performance to drive value and innovation.
  • Market Trends: Stay updated on market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to maintain procurement excellence.

We Are Looking For

  • Experience: 3-5 years in procurement, preferably within the FMCG sector. Knowledge of Marketing and/or Retail metiers is a plus.
  • Hard Skills: Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Procurement ERP (Ivalua) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, critical thinking, adaptability, and relationship management skills. A problem-solving mindset, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence are essential.
  • Language: Fluency in English, both oral and written.

What’s In It For You

  • A place for you to leave your comfort zone and grow beyond your potential (here, you’ll be encouraged to try new things and take risks!).
  • Real responsibility from day one—there’s no sitting on the sidelines at L’Oréal.
  • An environment where people of every background are accepted, can speak up, and will thrive.
  • A chance to contribute to something bigger—many of our brands have societal and environmental causes to make a concrete difference.
