As a Senior Shipping Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of legal advice and services relating to the shipping industry. Your primary duties will include :

Preparing legal opinions and researching the law as requested by the Partner heading the department;

Supporting other members of the department in their work;

Representing clients in court or other legal proceedings;

Drafting and negotiating contracts, lease agreements, and other documents related to the shipping industry;

Advising clients on various legal matters;

Liaising with external legal and regulatory bodies;

Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the relevant laws and regulations;

Developing and implementing strategies for resolving legal disputes;

Keeping up to date with developments in the shipping industry;

Writing articles and reports on legal matters for publication in legal journals;

Keeping client files up to date and ensuring that all related documents are stored appropriately.
