Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Land Surveyor - Marine to conduct precise marine surveys, collect and analyze data, and support coastal projects across the region. You will operate GPS and sonar gear, perform bathymetric and hydrographic surveys, and prepare detailed reports and maps for engineering initiatives.

Extensive UAE travel and strict safety compliance are required. Minimum 7 years in marine surveying with a Bachelor's in Surveying Geomatics, and strong data processing/GIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying Geomatics or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in marine surveying.
• Proficiency with GPS and sonar surveying equipment.
• Extensive experience with data processing software and GIS applications.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate marine surveying equipment including GPS and sonar technology.
• Conduct bathymetric surveys to map underwater terrain with high accuracy.
• Perform hydrographic surveys for coastal engineering and offshore projects.
• Collect, process and analyze survey data using GIS and related software.
• Prepare detailed reports, charts and maps based on survey findings.
• Travel to coastal and offshore UAE sites as required.
• Ensure compliance with marine safety protocols and local regulations.
