Job summary

A leading real estate development company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced professional to lead technical audits and ensure design compliance throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have over 14 years of experience in architecture or architectural engineering. They will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary reviews, providing recommendations for design efficiency, and supporting budget validation. This role offers a chance to impact the project from design to construction.

Job description
  • Leads and manages design, technical, and material specification audits to ensure full compliance with applicable codes, project standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Develops and implements the company’s Technical Audit framework, including audit procedures, review checklists, and reporting templates.
  • Coordinates and supervises multidisciplinary technical reviews across architectural, structural, MEP, and materials domains.
  • Provides recommendations to management on design efficiency, value engineering, and compliance findings throughout the project lifecycle (design, tender, construction, and handover).
  • Supports development teams in budget validation and feasibility reviews, ensuring design compliance aligns with the project’s financial and commercial objectives.
  • Proven experience in design compliance, shop drawing reviews, and value engineering coordination.
  • Awareness of cost, constructability, and development feasibility from a developer’s perspective.
  • Over 14 years of exp; Architecture or Architectural Engineering preferred. Civil Engineer would also be acceptable.
