Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to lead the commercial function for a leading engineering business in Dubai. The role will focus on driving new business across high‑precision engineering components, tooling, and moulds and managing a portfolio of key accounts. The role requires strong commercial acumen, a proven track record in engineering sales, and the ability to influence at C‑suite and government levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Sales & Business Development function for the engineering division.
  • Develop and execute tactical sales plans aligned with long‑term strategic goals.
  • Drive growth through new account acquisition, expansion in existing accounts, and diversification into new markets.
  • Oversee major contract negotiations and define pricing strategies to maximise profitability.
  • Manage and mentor the Sales & BD team to exceed revenue and profit targets.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with packaging, quality, and supply chain to deliver seamless customer solutions.
  • Provide market insights and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
  • Monitor and optimise sales budgets, forecasts, and pipeline management.
  • Represent the company with clients, delivering presentations and product demonstrations in precision engineering solutions.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • 8–10 years’ experience in Sales within engineering companies.
  • Proven success in high‑precision engineering components (HPEC) sales and business development in the UAE/Middle East.
  • Demonstrated ability to win and manage contracts within defence, aerospace, and other high‑specification engineering sectors.
  • Track record of success in government and multinational tenders.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage sales pipelines strategically.
  • Well networked within the UAE and GCC engineering/manufacturing sectors.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and project‑management skills.
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage.
