Job summary

The Meydan Hotel, part of Kerzner International, seeks a Manager, Recreation to oversee daily operations of our resort’s pools, fitness centre, and leisure spaces in Dubai. You will lead a team, drive guest‑focused service, and ensure health and safety standards are upheld.

Responsibilities include scheduling, onboarding, training, and curating the wellness calendar, while coordinating with HR and using Opera PMS to manage inventories and expenses in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience supervising hospitality, recreation, or resort operations.
• Certified in resort emergency protocols and first aid.
• Strong communication, leadership, and team coaching skills with scheduling flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily setup, maintenance, and routine inspections of all recreational areas (pools, fitness centre, cabanas) to uphold guest service standards, safety protocols, and equipment condition.
• Lead daily briefings, manage team shift and vacation schedules, enforce uniform/grooming standards, and maintain accurate departmental personnel records.
• Partner with HR on recruitment and interviews, conduct onboarding and continuous training programs, and provide ongoing coaching, performance evaluation, and constructive feedback.
• Design and manage the hotel's wellness calendar and launch new seasonal guest wellness experiences.
• Departmental inventory management, supply tracking, and expense control while maintaining proficiency in the Opera PMS system.

Job Summary

The Manager, Recreation of The Meydan Hotel will oversee daily operations across all resort recreational facilities—including pools and fitness centre—to ensure exceptional guest service and strict adherence to hotel, health, and safety standards. This role leads team management, recruitment, colleague training, operational administrative tasks, and the development of the hotel’s wellness offerings.
