Job summary

EDGE is seeking a PMO Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives within the Directed Energy portfolio, embedding standardized governance, processes, and methodologies across projects. You will plan, execute, and deliver corporate initiatives on scope, budget, and time while aligning with the PMO framework.

You will maintain project controls, manage vendor agreements, monitor performance, and report to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years in defense industry with agile or hybrid development.
  • 5+ years of hands-on project management within a structured PMO.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or a technical field.
  • PM certification (PMP) or INCOSE CSEP preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain project controls and track KPIs like schedule variance and quality.
  • Ensure vendor SLAs and SOWs align with goals and budgets.
  • Monitor vendor performance against deadlines and milestones.
  • Control contract scope creep and manage amendments.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports for steering committees.
  • Manage project budgets and forecast costs against baselines.
  • Lead full lifecycle from charter to closure and lessons learned.
  • Coordinate FAT/SAT, TRR, and related tests with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with end users and suppliers on requirements and status.
  • Ensure PMO reporting complies with security regulations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

A PMO Project Manager a specialized professional responsible for delivering strategic initiatives while embedding standardized governance, processes, and methodologies across Directed Energy portfolio. The Project Manager plans, executes, and delivers corporate projects within scope, budget, and time constraints. This role ensures that all projects strictly adhere to the PMO's governance structure, utilizes standardized tools, and directly aligns with the company's long-term strategic goals


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Maintain project controls and track key metrics (KPIs) regarding baseline vs. actual schedule variance and quality.

  • Ensures that all vendor agreements, service-level agreements (SLAs), and statement of works (SOWs) strictly align with project goals, risk limits, and financial budgets

  • Monitor vendor performance against contractual deadlines, tracking delivery dates, milestones, and quality thresholds

  • Control contract scope creep. If a project changes, the PMO PM ensures contract amendments go through formal approvals so costs don't spiral out of control

  • Prepare weekly or monthly progress reports for steering committees and senior leadership.

  • Manage individual project budgets, forecast actual costs against planned baselines, and calculate monetary risks

  • Manage the full project lifecycle from project charter initiation to closing and documenting lessons learned.

  • Lead the project activities that includes scheduling, planning, and final acceptance of documentation prior to Factory/Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT), TRR and other related tests.

  • Collaborate closely with end user and internal stakeholders to understand technical requirement and specification. Regular meeting with suppliers, and keep up to date with installation status

  • Ensure all project management reporting data complies with corporate and state security regulations, avoiding leakage of restricted technical parameters


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


  • Minimum 7 years in defense industry with demonstrated experience working within agile or hybrid development cycles.

  • Typically 5+ years of hands‑on project management experience, ideally operating within a structured corporate PMO environment

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s in Engineering, or other technical fields.

  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or System Engineering (e.g., INCOSE CSEP) is preferable

  • Strong knowledge of system installation

  • Strong supplier relationship, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Deep understanding of the technical aspects of defense systems, including design, development and integration.
