Job summary

EDGE in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Manager – Post-Contract Management to lead the administration, performance, compliance, and closeout of contracts from award through completion. You will safeguard commercial interests, coordinate with Finance and stakeholders, and drive risk mitigation across the lifecycle.

This role requires 7–10 years of experience and a related degree; you will mentor teams and contribute to continuous improvement in contract management systems and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline as listed.
  • 7–10 years of experience in contract or commercial management, procurement, or project management.
  • Experience in defense, government, engineering, infrastructure, or manufacturing industries preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee contracts through full lifecycle from award to closeout, ensuring compliance.
  • Review contracts and develop administration plans; identify risks and obligations.
  • Monitor performance: milestones, pay schedules, renewals, warranties.
  • Maintain records, trackers, dashboards, and reporting for contract status.
  • Prepare management reports highlighting progress, risks, and issues.
  • Manage variations, amendments, change orders, extensions, claims, and disputes.
  • Maintain contract risk registers and mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate with Finance on contract financials including payments and penalties.
  • Serve as primary contact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead contract closeout and drive process improvements and system implementations.

The Manager – Post-Contract Management is responsible for managing the administration, performance, compliance, and closeout of contracts following award and execution. The role ensures contractual obligations, milestones, deliverables, payments, variations, claims, and risks are effectively controlled throughout the contract lifecycle while safeguarding the organization's commercial interests and supporting business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned contracts throughout the full lifecycle, from award and execution through completion, closeout, or termination, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Review contracts, establish contract administration plans, and identify key risks, obligations, responsibilities, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance, including milestones, deliverables, payment schedules, renewals, warranties, and other contractual commitments.
  • Maintain contract records, trackers, registers, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to ensure visibility of contract status and performance.
  • Prepare management reports highlighting contract progress, risks, delays, issues, and required corrective actions, while escalating critical concerns when required.
  • Manage contract variations, amendments, change orders, extensions, claims, and disputes, assessing their commercial, financial, and operational impacts.
  • Maintain contract risk registers and implement mitigation plans to minimize contractual exposure and protect business interests.
  • Monitor contract financial aspects, including contract values, payments, deductions, penalties, and obligations, while coordinating with Finance and relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary contractual point of contact, managing relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, customers, and consultants.
  • Lead contract closeout activities, capture lessons learned, drive process improvements, and support the implementation of contract management systems and reporting tools.
Qualifications & Experience
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration, Commercial Management, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

Experience
  • 7–10 years of experience in Contract Management, Commercial Management, Procurement, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience preparing management reports, dashboards, and contractual recommendations.
  • Experience within defense, government, engineering, infrastructure, or manufacturing industries is preferred.
Preferred Certifications
  • World Commerce & Contracting (WCC)
  • CIPS
  • Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM)
  • PMP or equivalent
  • FIDIC Certification
