Job Description

Purpose for the role: To develop and implement an annual digital communications strategy on behalf of the Zayed Sustainability Prize. To lead all of Zayed Sustainability Prize’s digital platforms, both internal and external, acting as the custodian of these platforms, ensuring they are up to date when it comes to content and performing upgrades and updates to make sure that they are in line with market trends.

Key Responsibilities
Digital Communications Strategy
  • Develop and implement the Prize’s annual digital communications strategy and implementation plan
  • Work with other members of the Communications and marketing department to develop, maintain, and implement a digital content strategy in support of key initiatives programs and activities.
  • Lead and develop strategic digital applications and activations recommendations.
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies, interface with IT and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth implementations.
Digital Communications Management
  • Manage, maintain, expand, and coordinate the Prize’s global presence in social media and websites.
  • Research, identify and analyze digital trends and social media channels.
  • Lead the design of insight driven digital strategies from opportunity identification through to experience definition.
Digital Campaign Management
  • Plan and execute all web, SEO, marketing database, email and display advertising campaigns.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to execute all paid social media campaigns.
  • Plan social media campaigns and engage with the social media agency with ideas on how to improve the Prize’s presence across its social media platforms.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital communications campaigns and assess against set goals.
Digital platforms’ enhancements
  • Manage the relationship between the Prize and all digital vendors for website management.
  • Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
  • Champion any project related to relaunching, improving, enhancing any of the Prize’s digital platforms.
Digital Media Analysis
  • Carry out regular analysis using appropriate analytical web tools and implement any necessary changes to help ensure that the Prize’s digital platforms achieve maximum impact & reach.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
Contribution to Stakeholder Relations
  • Build and maintain a network of relevant contacts to support daily activities and long-term objectives of the team.
  • Engage with and monitor relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure adequate knowledge transfer and completion of services as per agreed parameters.
Preparation of Relevant Updates and Reports
  • Prepare relevant reports and updates as required and to the desired standard.
  • Provide management information as and when required by the line manager – this includes the production and timely provision of accurate reports in line with reporting schedules.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, computer science, marketing or related field
Preferred Experience
  • At least 6-8 years of experience in the field of digital marketing or related field gaining exposure to the latest digital marketing trends and systems gaining knowledge in web management, design and development, content management, SEO & SEM and knowledge in social media management
