ROLE SUMMARY

The Communications Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, development, and execution of internal and external communication initiatives across Abu Dhabi Airports. The role ensures consistent, timely, and effective messaging across all corporate channels in both English and Arabic. Working closely with the Senior Manager Communications and the Head of Corporate Communications, this role contributes to strengthening Abu Dhabi Airports’ brand, enhancing employee engagement, supporting crisis communication, and ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and stakeholder expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Internal & External Communications
  • Support communication plans and campaigns aligned with corporate priorities.
  • Draft and edit high-quality bilingual content for announcements, newsletters, speeches, and media materials.
  • Coordinate information flow across departments and maintain alignment with brand guidelines.
Corporate Channels & Content
  • Develop content calendars and source organizational stories.
  • Support daily communications operations and ensure message accuracy and consistency.
Media Relations
  • Maintain and update media databases.
  • Pitch stories, manage media enquiries, draft media materials, and support media events.
  • Monitor media coverage and sentiment.
Crisis Communications
  • Prepare holding statements, FAQs, and urgent messaging.
  • Support rapid and controlled information flow during incidents.
Employee Engagement
  • Support campaigns, events, and initiatives that enhance engagement and culture.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work with HR, Operations, Aviation Development, and external partners to support communication activities.
Measurement & Improvement
  • Track communication performance and support benchmarking and best‑practice research.
Team Support
  • Assist with workflows, reports, presentations, and mentoring junior staff.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Experience in crisis communications, employee engagement, and multi‑channel strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum six years of relevant experience; aviation or corporate sector experience is an advantage.
