Job summary

EY Abu Dhabi is seeking a Manager to lead on complex audit engagements and support growth of the Audit business. You will define audit strategy, supervise engagements, and ensure compliance with EY policies. You will mentor junior staff, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development initiatives.

The role requires strong IFRS knowledge, Arabic proficiency, and prior Big 4 GCC experience. You will work in a dynamic, diverse team.

Qualifications

• Have 7 years of professional experience in external audit.
• Have strong academic record including a degree and accounting qualification such as ACCA or CPA.
• Have experience with a Big 4 accounting firm in GCC.
• Proficiency in Arabic language.

The opportunity

EY is looking for a Manager to join the Abu Dhabi Audit team to lead on complex audit engagements and support growth of the Audit business.

Your key responsibilities

As a manager youll manage the delivery of audit engagements by defining the audit strategy in consultation with the Senior Manager / Partner and executing it in compliance with Ernst & Youngs policies and protocols. When required youll personally execute complex audit procedures and lead teams or parts of teams on engagements depending on the size of the engagement. Youll also assist in managing the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders as well as participate in business development initiatives.

Youll actively establish maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships and confirm that work delivered to clients is of a high quality. As part of this youll anticipate and identify risks and elevate issues as appropriate. As an influential member of the team youll help to create a positive learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop through effectively supervising coaching and mentoring. You will also contribute to people initiatives including recruiting retaining and training Assurance professionals and contribute to the maintenance of an educational program to continually develop personal skills of staff.

We are looking for someone who understands currently applicable IFRS and knowledge of use of audit tools and data analytic tools with risk-based audit process experience. Also expertise in current auditing techniques and experience managing teams.
