Job summary

Confidential Company in the UAE seeks a senior architect to lead prestigious government‑level architectural projects in Dubai from concept to handover, overseeing design development and ensuring client satisfaction.

You will coordinate with structural, MEP and interior teams, review drawings and specifications, manage CAD specialists, and uphold building codes, authority rules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in architectural design and project management.
• Experience managing the complete architectural design lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and authority regulations.
• Ability to lead multiple projects and manage design deliverables.
• Experience coordinating with structural, MEP, interior design teams.
• Proven leadership of architectural design teams and CAD supervision.
• Stakeholder engagement with clients, management, consultants and authorities.
• Experience delivering high-profile, complex projects.
• Location: UAE-based or willing to relocate to Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects throughout the entire design lifecycle, from pre-design and concept development to schematic design, detailed design, and project completion.
• Develop architectural concepts and design strategies aligned with project briefs, client expectations, and functional requirements.
• Oversee the preparation and review of architectural drawings, presentations, specifications, and technical documentation at all design stages.
• Manage and guide architectural designers and CAD specialists to ensure high-quality design deliverables.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, interior design, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless design integration.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with applicable building codes, authority regulations, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Lead design reviews, client presentations, and technical meetings to obtain approvals and resolve design-related issues.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure the design intent is maintained throughout project execution.
• Monitor project timelines, design deliverables, and resources to ensure timely completion and adherence to approved project requirements.
• Oversee design development and implementation through construction and project handover, ensuring the final outcome aligns with the approved architectural design.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.

2. Professional Experience: Minimum 12+ years of progressive experience in architectural design and project management, with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered projects.

3. Design Expertise: Proven experience in managing the complete architectural design lifecycle, from pre-design studies and concept development through schematic design, detailed design, construction documentation, and project completion.

4. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building codes, authority regulations, construction standards, and design coordination requirements.

5. Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead multiple architectural projects, manage design deliverables, and ensure adherence to approved timelines, quality standards, and project requirements.

6. Coordination Skills: Extensive experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, MEP, interior design, and other engineering consultants.

7. Leadership Capabilities: Proven ability to lead architectural design teams, supervise CAD specialists, manage external consultants, and drive design excellence.

8. Stakeholder Management: Strong experience engaging with clients, senior management, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities throughout the project lifecycle.

9. Design Portfolio: Experience delivering high-quality, complex, and prestigious architectural projects, preferably within government, institutional, commercial, hospitality, or large-scale development environments.

10. Preferred Nationality: European or Arab nationals are preferred.

11. Location: Candidates should be based in the UAE or willing to relocate to Dubai, subject to the role requirements.
