Job description
Maintenance Test Pilot (Bell 407/AS350/AS550)

We are seeking a highly experienced Bell 407/AS350/AS550 Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive tax-free salary and comprehensive family benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting acceptance test flights, pre/post phase test flights, maintenance operational checks, and both ground and flight troubleshooting.

You will report directly to the Maintenance Team Lead and Maintenance Manager, supporting coordination with Production Control for maintenance planning, scheduling, and unit support operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, and company maintenance standards.
  • Perform as MTP and PIC for Bell 407, AS350, or AS550 maintenance test flights, acceptance flights, and support missions.
  • Prepare flight plans and briefings based on mission requirements and operational conditions.
  • Maintain aircraft to airworthiness standards using technical manuals and directives.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections and ensure mission readiness.
  • Brief crew and non-crew members on safety and mission scope.
  • Execute prescribed test maneuvers and record results.
  • Test emergency and normal system functions; coordinate multi-aircraft missions.
  • Train and supervise crew members, including local nationals.
  • Maintain flight proficiency and currency.
  • Perform limited technical inspections and assist with troubleshooting.
  • Support logistical operations and component identification.
  • Work flexible hours as required by leadership.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by your Line Manager.

Job Requirements:

  • FAA, EASA, or equivalent military training certificates
  • Completion of AMOC Phase I and Bell 407, AS350, or AS550 MTPC (AMOC Phase II) or equivalent
  • Ability to attain and maintain a local military flight physical (Class I), equivalent to FAA Class II
  • Must pass hands-on flight evaluation
  • BA or BS degree preferred
  • Maintenance Examiner (ME) certification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of aviation maintenance experience
  • Minimum 1000 hours PIC and 200 hours MTP in Bell 407, AS350, or AS550 or equivalent MDS
  • Strong knowledge of FAA/EASA and Army maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with Production and Quality Control processes preferred
