Job summary

A leading contracting firm in Dubai is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee operations across residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities include managing a team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and developing maintenance schedules. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance and strong technical knowledge of building systems. This role requires fluency in English, and knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all maintenance operations across residential and commercial properties
  • Lead a team of technicians, cleaners, and external contractors to ensure timely and high-quality service
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for buildings, equipment, and systems
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety and building codes
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and coordinate rapid resolution
  • Manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and mechanical systems across all properties
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, costs, and inventory
  • Coordinate with property managers and tenants to address maintenance concerns professionally
  • Supervise renovation, repair, and upgrade projects, ensuring quality and timely execution
  • Monitor maintenance budgets and optimize resource allocation
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental policies
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in property or facilities maintenance, preferably in real estate
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems and infrastructure
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Proficiency in maintenance software and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with local health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a strong advantage
  • Valid driver’s license (if travel between sites is required)
