Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading Landscaping company based out of Abu Dhabi, UAE. Our client is looking to hire an Operations Director who will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for the successful execution of all landscape maintenance projects. This role is accountable for driving excellence in quality, safety, and client satisfaction, while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations & Compliance : Perform field reviews to ensure compliance with Operational Standards; establish, maintain, and apply operational policies and procedures.
  • Client & Contracts : Retain clients via regular communication with decision-makers; secure new contracts; review contract documents to execute works within scope.
  • Resource Management : Ensure all projects have required resources; resolve inter-project conflicts over resource allocation, especially manpower.
  • Performance & Audit : Monitor, evaluate, and report project performance to GM; advise on corrective actions for poor performance; audit all projects to advise preventive / corrective actions.
  • Team Leadership & HR Coordination : Evaluate Project Managers' performance. In coordination with HR, review and approve / reject recommendations for staff increments, bonuses, overtime, and extra manpower.
  • Project Management Oversight : Challenge PMs to meet timetables and goals; review and approve / reject PM recommendations for staff increments, bonuses, overtime, and extra manpower.
  • Tender & Bid Preparation : Utilize historical project data in new tenders; review enquiry documents, specs, and drawings for anomalies; send client clarifications; attend pre-tender meetings and site visits. Prepare maintenance schedules, manpower, equipment, and material estimates. Review costs with GM.
  • Quality, HSE & ISM : Implement and monitor company Quality, HSE, and ISM Safety Management Systems across all projects and locations. Set quarterly / yearly quality objectives. Identify non-conformances; issue NCRs and recommend corrective / preventive actions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering along with relevant certificate courses are advantageous.
  • 10+ years of experience in a senior operations leadership role within a related industry (landscape, facilities management, construction).
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role managing managers, with demonstrated success in leading large-scale operations.
  • Competencies : Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Proficiency in resource management, quality assurance, and health & safety protocols.
