Job summary

The Ritz-Carlton in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates is seeking a Chef de Partie to join its culinary team. This full-time, non‑management role focuses on preparing and cooking foods to established recipes, while upholding quality, presentation, and consistent kitchen operations.

You will assist management with training, scheduling, evaluation, coaching, and motivation, all while adhering to safety policies and The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
• License or Certification: None required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
• Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods as required.
• Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters during food preparation.
• Transfer food from freezer storage for safe thawing under refrigeration.
• Maintain appropriate food portions, arrangement, and garnishing.
• Monitor the quality and quantity of food being prepared.
• Maintain required food logs accurately.
• Inform the Chef when additional assistance is needed during busy service periods.
• Identify excess food items and inform the Chef so they can be considered for daily specials.
• Communicate menu specials and unavailable items to Food and Beverage service colleagues.
• Check prepared food to ensure required quality standards are maintained.
