Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial truck driver.
• Valid CDL license with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of federal laws and regulations governing commercial trucking operations.
• Ability to pass drug/alcohol screening tests as required by the DOT.
• Good time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods from one location to another over long distances.
• Inspect truck and trailer before and after each trip, reporting any maintenance issues.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Secure cargo in compliance with company policies and federal regulations.
• Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers using two-way radio or mobile phone.
• Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
• Follow traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
• Adhere to all safety regulations while operating the vehicle.
