Overview

To help us maintain our high standards of service, we are seeking an experienced and accomplished Logistics Supervisor to drive both innovation and execution in our busy Transportation network.

Responsibilities

• Support the overall, daily management of operational duties and deputize for the Operations Manager as required.
• Prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station; supervise logistics assistants, coordinators and delivery associates to ensure shipments meet and exceed operational KPIs.
• Monitor coordinator and associate performance, coach where needed, partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations, and communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations and raise the bar on quality.
• Interview candidates for associate roles.
• Brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates; maintain attention to detail to ensure administrative tasks are completed. Measure and monitor workflows and daily metrics to assist the Operations Manager with tracking, trending and reporting on site performance.
• Train and mentor new associates, ensuring they have the knowledge to perform their tasks; follow up on and resolve process-related issues. The role includes physical activities such as pushing carts up to 100 pounds and lifting packages up to 15 kg.
• Be flexible to work in different shifts and to do overtime when needed.
• Work with the Operations Manager to resource the function, including training needs, absence and performance management, coaching and continuous monitoring of department productivity.
