Position Summary / Job Purpose:
Logistics Executive (Import & Export Executive) is responsible for coordinating international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and maintaining accurate import/export documentation. The role focuses on facilitating timely movement of fashion goods across global supply chains, supporting retail and wholesale operations in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end import and export operations (specifically here for fashion & Sports products)
- Prepare and verify all shipping, customs, and regulatory documentation (Invoice, Packing List, COO, Certificate of Conformity, etc.)
- Track international shipments and ensure timely clearance and delivery.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, agents and transport partners.
- Follow up on shipment status and resolve delays or issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations and international trade laws.
- Maintain records for all import/export transactions and documents for audit readiness.
- Classify products as per correct HS codes and tariff regulations.
- Liaise with Dubai Customs, Free Zone Authorities, and relevant government bodies.
- Communicate with overseas suppliers for shipping schedules and documentation accuracy.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team for inbound scheduling, receiving, and inventory updates.
- Ensure smooth handover of goods from port to warehouse and final retail locations.
- Update shipment details and delivery status in internal systems.
- Generate/Update regular reports on incoming/outgoing shipments, costs, and lead times.
- Maintain shipment tracker with key dates, milestones, and document references.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics /Logistics & Supply Chain/International Business or Business Administration; or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in import/export operations within the UAE, preferably in Fashion, FMCG or retail logistics.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of UAE customs and port procedures (JAFZA, DAFZA, Dubai Customs).
- Hands‑on experience with shipping documentation and Incoterms.
- Familiarity with import licenses, duty exemptions, and HS code classifications.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with global suppliers and shipping agents.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and shipment tracking tools.
- Working knowledge of ERP or logistics platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or WMS tools) is a plus.
