Sales Executive
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed sales targets
- Successfully create business from new and existing customer accounts
- Manage complex negotiations with senior-level executives
- Build rapport and establish long term relationships with customers
Day to Day Operations
- Receiving/Generating sales lead.
- Maintain a minimum number of 5 quality customer visits on all business days. This should include cold calling and prescheduled meetings.
- Sales visits should be recorded on CRM systems on daily basis before the end of business day.
- Since the Account management is also a part of their job responsibility, sales executives can include their existing customer visits also into their daily visit target.
- Sales executives should carry out the customer profiling using the customer profile template during their initial visit/call. A detailed service requirement should be gathered to generate the proposal.
- Sending customer requirements to operations department for quotation and workflow.
- Process information received and preparation of initial proposal with company profile.
- Approaching for sales meeting with client, keeping relevant company details intact.
- Perform constant follow up by email and phone or by visiting with the customer to gather their feedback.
- Confirm/negotiate price.
- Confirmation of price leads to draft contract/SLA negotiation.
- Rejection of price will lead to keep customer details in record for future reference.
- Contract/SLA with legal department approval forward for signature.
- Account opening in CRM system with finance approval.
- Customer basic training to use CRM through IT department.
- Starts receiving shipments/follow up orders.
- Keeping track of client operations and account service protocols.
- Sales/account manager should be first face of the customer. Any day today issues/complaints should be addressed and managed by them by communicating internally with the respective stake holders.

- Motivate one’s own team and identify opportunities to take part in change initiatives, programs and projects that reflect international best practice and changes in the competitive environment.
Policies, Processes & Procedures
- Recommend improvements to company policy and direct the implementation of procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
MIS & Reports
- Prepare MIS statements and reports pertaining to departmental needs to meet UPP’s and the departmental requirements, policies, and standards.
Related Assignments
Perform other related duties or assignments as directed. The candidate for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.
Qualifications
- 4+ years' quota carrying sales experience
- Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems
- Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
