Job summary

Prime Link DWC -LLC in Dubai seeks a reliable delivery driver to operate a company light pickup, load and secure cargo, and ensure safe, timely deliveries.

You will plan daily routes, interact with clients, verify quantities, collect signatures, and document mileage and delivery schedules. A clean driving record and 1–2 years in logistics are preferred.

Must have a valid Light Vehicle Driver's License (manual preferred), good English, and the stamina to lift 20–25 kg drums daily.

Qualifications

• Heavy lifting required, often 20–25 kg drums.

Responsibilities

• Operate a company-issued light pickup truck safely and in compliance with traffic laws.
• Manually load, secure with straps and offload cargo at client sites, avoiding cargo damage.
• Plan daily routes using GPS and local knowledge for timely deliveries, minimizing delays and fuel use.
• Provide courteous client interaction, verify order quantities, obtain signatures on delivery notes, and handle discrepancies.
• Perform basic daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues to fleet manager.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules.

Job description

1. Vehicle Operation: Safely drive and operate a company-issued light pickup truck in compliance with all local traffic laws and company safety policies.

2. Cargo Handling: Manually load, secure (using straps and tie-downs), and offload paint drums and pails at client sites, ensuring no damage occurs to the cargo or the vehicle.

3. Route Management: Plan daily travel routes using GPS and local knowledge to ensure timely deliveries, minimizing delays and fuel consumption.

4. Client Interaction: Provide excellent customer service upon delivery, verifying order quantities with clients, obtaining necessary signatures on delivery notes, and handling any immediate discrepancies professionally.

5. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (checking fluids, tire pressure, and lights) and immediately report any mechanical issues to the fleet manager.

6. Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Heavy Lifting: Must be able to routinely lift, push, pull, and carry heavy paint drums (often weighing 20kg to 25kg+ each) multiple times a day.

2. Physical Stamina: The role requires frequent bending, squatting, and climbing into the back of the pickup truck.

3. Licensing: Valid Light Vehicle Driver's License (Manual transmission preferred).

4. Record: Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.

5. Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a commercial driving, delivery, or logistics role.
