Job summary

Emirates Flight Catering is looking for a reliable Driver to join our Dubai team. You will adhere to UAE traffic rules, perform drive tests on new vehicles, and ensure loads are secured to prevent accidents.

Responsibilities

• Observe and comply with UAE traffic rules and report hazards to immediate head.
• Assist in conducting drive tests on new vehicles.
• Ensure vehicles are loaded correctly to avoid accidents from shifting loads.
• Find alternate routes and use prudent judgement to reduce time, improve efficiency and fuel consumption.
• Maintain accurate daily trips sheets and provide data to the operations Assistant.
• Handle pick up and return of processed items/linens per schedule and adhoc requests.
• Maintain vehicle hygiene to prevent contamination of linen.
• Interact with customers (external and internal) in a polite and professional manner.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Observe and comply with UAE traffic rules with respect to the vehicle fleet size and report any health and safety hazards to immediate head.
• Assist in conducting drive test on new vehicles.
• Ensures vehicles are loaded correctly to avoid potential accidents with shifting loads making the vehicle unbalanced.
• Finds alternate routes and use prudent judgement in following logical sequences to reduce time, improve efficiency and fuel consumption.
• Maintain accurate daily trips sheets and provide necessary data to the operations Assistant.
• Pick up and return processed items/linens to the various customers as per the schedule and adhoc requests thus ensuring satisfied customers.
• Maintain hygiene in the vehicle by removing dirt and soil on a regular basis depending on the usage, thus ensuring a well-maintained fleet and by minimizing the likelihood of contamination to the linen.
• Deals with the customers both external and internal in a polite and professional manner.

Qualifications

Years of Experience: 2 years’ experience of driving on UAE roads.
