Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Site Lifting Specialist for their project in Basrah, IRAQ. The role involves advising on lifting operations, ensuring safety compliance, and mitigating risks. Candidates must have a professional lifting qualification, at least 10 years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of lifting legislation. Fluency in English is required, and Arabic is a plus. The job follows a rotational work scheme of 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off, for a duration of 24 months with the potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years working experience with 5 years in a Lifting Supervisory role.
• Thorough understanding of onshore O&G plant construction methods.
• Experience in training and coaching preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist the Site Management in the planning of lifting operations.
• Supervise and control lifting activities to identify and mitigate risks.
• Participate in Incident Investigation related to lifting activities.
