Job summary

Le Méridien is seeking a dedicated lifeguard at Dubai Marina to ensure guest safety and a high-standard pool experience. You will monitor the pool area, enforce rules, and provide assistance to guests in need while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

The role requires CPR and First Aid certifications, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work in a demanding hotel environment. This is a full-time, on-site position with Marriott International’s Le Méridien brand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No related work experience required.
• Certifications may be required by local/state agencies.

Responsibilities

• Use rescue techniques for swimmers needing assistance.
• Monitor swimming area for dangerous conditions and unsafe activities.
• Promote pool rules and facility safety standards.
• Inform supervisor of guests unable to participate and seek guidance.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until EMS arrival.
• Create a fun and relaxing guest atmosphere.
• Assist with towels: obtain, fold, and stack.
• Clean pool deck; wash and mop as needed.
• Report accidents/injuries to manager; maintain safety training/certifications.
• Follow policies; protect company assets and confidentiality.
• Greet guests and maintain professional appearance and service.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues; support team.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards.
• Visually inspect tools/equipment for defects.
• Move quickly to respond to incidents; stay mobile.
• Stand/sit/walk for long periods; comfortable with exertion.
• Lift/move objects up to 50 lbs alone; heavier with assistance.
