Job summary

Ecojob's library in Reef Al Fujairah City, UAE seeks a dedicated Librarian Assistant to support the Head Librarian in daily operations, cataloging, and patron services.

A Bachelor's in Library Science is required; strong communication and organizational skills, plus the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing library resources, including books, journals, and databases
• Help patrons with research inquiries and locating materials
• Monitor and organize the library’s collection
• Process new materials and prepare them for circulation
• Maintain accurate records of borrowed and returned items
• Assist with cataloging and classifying materials using appropriate systems
• Handle interlibrary loan requests from other institutions
• Provide support in planning and executing library programs and events
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies to enhance library services
• Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patrons
