Job summary

Want More in Al Shamkhah City UAE is seeking a Librarian to organize and manage the library, provide services to customers, and support community reading initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in cataloging, customer service, and program development, with a background in Library Science preferred. English communication is essential and foreign applicants meeting criteria are welcome.

Qualifications

• Degree in Library Science or equivalent experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Selecting, cataloging and categorizing books and other material.
• Overseeing the maintenance of the library.
• Ensuring that all materials are properly indexed and archived.
• Helping customers to find the required material.
• Promoting reading initiatives and other programs.
• Organizing book launches, readings, exhibitions and other related activities.
• Developing new collections according to customer needs.
• Managing budgets and library resources.
