Job summary

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the library.
• Set up circulation systems and keep track of all books and items loaned out.
• Create catalogs and indexes of library materials.
• Research new materials for acquisition into the library collection.
• Help patrons locate information using print resources, electronic databases, and the Internet.
• Stay up to date on library trends, best practices, and new technologies related to libraries.
• Assist patrons with digital literacy issues such as navigating websites or using computers or other devices.
• Maintain a clean environment for patrons to use the library resources comfortably.
• Develop programs such as book clubs or reading circles to engage patrons in the library’s collections.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing library services, including acquisitions, cataloging, circulation, reference, and other related tasks.
