Job summary

Abroad Work in Sharjah is seeking a qualified Librarian to join a prestigious educational institution. The librarian will oversee the library collection, cataloging, circulation, and user instruction to support students, faculty and staff.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science with at least two years of experience, fluent English, and strong organizational and communication skills. Visa sponsorship and accommodation are provided for this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a librarian.
• Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the library collection including selection, acquisition, cataloging and classification.
• Ensure up-to-date resources for students and faculty.
• Provide reference assistance and information literacy instruction.
• Develop and implement library policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate circulation, inventory and usage records.
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate information literacy into curriculum.
• Train students in using library resources effectively.
• Keep up-to-date with library technology and innovations.
• Supervise library staff.
