Librarian - Dubai

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Dubai. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing our library's collection, providing research assistance to patrons, and promoting library resources and services.

Responsibilities

• Manage the library's collection, including cataloging and processing new materials


• Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide guidance on how to use library resources effectively


• Promote library resources and services through social media, events, and other marketing initiatives


• Oversee the circulation of materials, including checking materials in and out, collecting fines, and maintaining accurate records


• Train and supervise library assistants and volunteers


• Collaborate with other departments to develop programs and services that meet the needs of the community


• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technology advancements in order to enhance library services

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field


• Previous experience working in a library setting preferred


• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


• Proficient in using library databases and other research tools

Salary: $1300 per month
