Job summary

JobCenter in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Librarian to join our team. The role involves managing library resources and providing services to patrons, with a highly competitive salary of 1400 AED per month. We are open to considering foreign applicants.

As the Librarian, you will organize and maintain the library collection, develop programs, advise patrons on selections, and provide information about library services. This position offers growth in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with electronic databases and online research tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage library resources such as books, magazines, journals, audio-visual materials etc.
• Organize and maintain the library’s collection.
• Develop programs such as reader advisory services.
• Advise patrons on the selection of books and other materials.
• Provide information about library services.
• Coordinate with other staff members to ensure that all resources are available for patron use.
• Ensure that all library policies are followed.
• Create and implement new ideas to improve patron experience.
• Assist patrons with their inquiries or complaints.
