Responsibilities

• Maintain library collections, including books, magazines, periodicals, videos, DVDs, CDs etc.
• Cataloguing and classifying materials according to established standards
• Manage circulation of materials in accordance with established procedures
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to library use
• Providing guidance on using the library resources effectively
• Assisting patrons in locating materials or using computers or other technology
• Developing programs such as book clubs or reading programs for patrons of all ages
• Updating computer databases with new material information
