Haur-Fakkan is seeking an experienced Librarian to join our team. The successful applicant will manage and develop our library, providing exceptional service to all library users.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and maintain library policies and procedures
  • Manage the daily operations of the library, including circulation and cataloging of materials
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new books and materials available for purchase
  • Organize and maintain library resources including books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and electronic information sources
  • Provide reference services to library users by responding to inquiries via telephone, email, and in person
  • Train staff in library procedures as needed
  • Supervise and evaluate staff performance
  • Create a welcoming environment for all patrons of the library
  • Perform administrative tasks such as budgeting, ordering supplies, reporting statistics and creating reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum two years experience working in a Library environment
  • Knowledge of basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite) is a plus
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Salary: 1200 AED/Month (we are ready to consider a foreigner).
