Librarian

As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, providing research assistance to library patrons, and developing and implementing educational programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature and knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a library setting.

• Manage the library's collection by organizing, cataloging, and shelving materials
• Provide research assistance to library patrons by helping them locate resources and providing information
• Develop and implement educational programs for children and adults, including story times, book clubs, and workshops
• Maintain accurate records of library transactions
• Create displays to promote new books or resources
• Keep up-to-date with new books and materials in order to make recommendations to patrons
• Assist with administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and maintaining equipment

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Proficient in English (knowledge of Malayalam is a plus)
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

This is a contract position with a salary of $1200 per month. The ideal candidate will be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
