Job summary

AquaNav in Ajman UAE is seeking a Librarian to join our library team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and knowledge and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

This is a part-time position with responsibilities including cataloging, assisting patrons, and developing library programs to promote reading and learning. Biometric passport holders are preferred as noted in the application requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
• Experience in a library setting preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication in English; Arabic knowledge a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the library collection by cataloging, shelving, and organizing books and materials.

• Manage the library collection by cataloging shelving and organizing books and other materials
• Assist library patrons with finding resources and provide information services
• Develop and implement library programs activities and events to promote reading and learning
• Maintain library records including circulation statistics book inventory and patron information
• Collaborate with other librarians to develop a diverse collection of materials for all ages
• Keep up-to-date with new technology and trends in the library field

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Library Science or related field
• Preferably Nepali or Kenyan nationalities
• Experience working in a library setting is preferred but not required
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in English knowledge of Arabic is a plus
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

This is a part-time position with a salary of 1400$
