Job summary

FIVE Hotels and Resorts invites a seasoned Legal Counsel to join the Executive Office. You will manage local and international legal matters, coordinate external counsel, and lead regulatory compliance for a premium luxury brand with global assets.

The role requires strong experience in corporate and UAE civil law, trademark matters, and high-stakes negotiations. Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory, with a track record from top-tier law firms or corporate legal departments.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years handling corporate legal matters in top-tier settings.
• Strong command of Corporate, Real Estate, Finance and Banking law.
• Fluent English and Arabic; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage local and international legal matters with oversight of documentation.
• Coordinate external counsel and review court filings.
• Handle DIFC Portal submissions with accuracy and timeliness.
• Draft and negotiate complex agreements (S&P, Leases, Consultancy, MEPS).
• Ensure regulatory compliance and governance across platforms.

What We’re Looking For

• A minimum of 05 years of experience in Corporate Law,with strong experience in managing complex corporate legal matters.


• Possesses in-depth expertise in Common Law and UAECivil Law, with the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes at a‘FIVE-Star’ standard.


• Demonstrates proven mastery in Contract Management,Trademark Law, and Regulatory Compliance, ensuring precision across everytransaction.


• Brings a professional background from Top-TierInternational Law Firms and Corporate Legal Departments, reflecting premiumexperience and a global perspective.


• Applies comprehensive knowledge of Corporate, RealEstate, Finance, and Banking Law to support bold Growth Strategies andVisionary Projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Managesall Local and International legal matters, ensuring Curated oversight of casesand Flawless execution of documentation.


• Coordinatesand supervises external counsel, reviewing submissions and court filings toSafeguard FIVE’s premium Legal Standards.


• Overseesall Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Portal activities, managingSubmissions and Confirmations with precision.


• TakesFull Responsibility for Trademark (TM) issuance, renewals, and compliancethrough the TM Portal, protecting FIVE’s visionary Brand Identity.


• Handlesquarterly legal confirmations and regulatory filings, ensuring Top-Notchcompliance with all Relevant Authorities.


• Drafts,reviews, and secures approvals for Press Releases submitted to Nasdaq Dubai andthe London Stock Exchange, maintaining Flawless communication with marketregulators.


• Preparesall pre- and post-Board Meeting documentation, including Minutes of Meeting andBoard Resolutions, guaranteeing accuracy and alignment with governanceprotocols.


• Reviews,drafts, and negotiates a wide range of contracts and agreements – from Salesand Purchase Agreements, Lease, Retail Space, Consultancy, and Entertainment toArchitectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP), and Novationagreements – ensuring ‘FIVE-Styled’ precision and protection.


• Coordinatesdue diligence exercises with External Counsel, providing premium advice on UAELabour Law and reviewing all Supporting Documentation.


• Preparescorrespondence relating to Real Estate, Trademark, Invoices, Reinstatements,and Agreements, reinforcing FIVE’s commitment to Compliance.


• Reviewsand prepares legal DISCLAIMERS, Terms and Conditions, and related documentsacross Platforms and Activities.


• Draftsand issues demand letters, initiating debt collection procedures when requiredto safeguard FIVE’s Financial Interests.


• Reviews,negotiates, and finalises Engagement Letters for external consultants andcounsels, ensuring Favourable terms.


• Preparestermination notices for contracts relating to Employment, Retail Spaces,Service Providers, and Consultants with decisive clarity.


• Respondsto Guest disputes and complaints linked to hotel charges and services throughProfessional Correspondence that sustains the ‘Vibe at FIVE.’
