Job description
Job Purpose:

To play an integral role is assisting to maintain the Group’s in-house legal presence. From providing legal guidance to business, as the primary duties include providing legal support on commercial matters, structuring solutions/strategies for disputes, reviewing legal materials and contracts and support daily legal operation.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Support the Legal Team on internal projects in relation to the legal assignments being handled.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to general business.
  • Provide accurate, relevant, and timely legal advice to the Senior Legal Management on a variety of legal topics that relate to the Group’s business.
  • Determine the legal risks associated with the business.
  • Assist with reviewing legal materials and contracts.
  • Negotiating & drafting contracts relating to projects and business relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Manage disputes and relationships with external counsels.
  • Conducting visits and representing the group in negotiating courts, public prosecutions, and police departments in relation to legal proceedings & matters.
  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, and public authorities etc.), creating relations of trust.
  • Perform legal analysis and research legal topics.
  • Provide legal guidance and draft memorandums, opinions, and briefing documents in presenting cases.
  • Conducting legal due diligence in mergers & acquisitions.
  • Preparing and drafting due diligence lists, questionnaires, and communications.
  • Providing legal solutions and security proposals to serve the best interests of the group.
  • Collaborate with legal team to devise efficient legal solutions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation.
  • Provide case summaries on active litigations and arrange with external counsels for any recommended actions.
  • Daily follow-ups on legal matters being handled by the team.
  • Maintain constant communication with management, staff and vendors to ensure proper legal implementation.
  • Develop and maintain legal protection strategies of organizational assets.
  • Support group’s business and legal departments in all legal matters.
Key requirements:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in business administration or relevant field
  • 5-8 years of experience working in a similar field
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic is mandatory
