Job summary

MPH in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Lead Welding Engineer to drive welding engineering activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, procedures, and international codes and standards.

You will lead development of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), review materials, welding consumables, and ensure traceability. You will supervise welders and welding operators, coordinating activities across pipelines, piping, vessels and structures.

Qualifications

• Experience leading welding engineering on large projects.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API and AWS welding codes.
• Proven ability to develop and approve WPS/PQR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise welding engineering activities per project specs and applicable codes.
• Develop, review, and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and PQRs.
• Ensure welding activities comply with ASME, API, AWS and project requirements.

• - Develop, review, and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and related welding documentation.
• - Ensure welding activities comply with applicable standards, such as ASME, API, AWS, and relevant project requirements.
• - Coordinate welding activities for pipelines, piping systems, pressure vessels, structural steel, and other project facilities, as applicable.
• - Review material specifications, welding consumables, base materials, filler metals, and material traceability requirements.
• - Supervise the qualification, certification, and performance monitoring of welders and welding operators.
