Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Erection & Testing Engineer specialized in transformers and reactors. The role involves supervising the erection and testing phases to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and at least 8–10 years of relevant experience. Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in transformer & reactor erection/testing.
• Strong knowledge of IEC / IEEE standards.
• UAE project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise erection and installation of power transformers and shunt reactors.
• Review OEM manuals, method statements, and inspection test plans.
• Conduct and witness testing including Insulation Resistance, Winding Resistance.
• Coordinate with client, TAQA inspectors, and OEM representatives.
• Ensure compliance with TAQA safety rules and permit systems.
• Prepare test reports, checklists, and commission dossiers.
• Support energization and handover activities.
